Large Battery Installation Opportunity

17th June 2020 – 2nd July 2020

A community energy group in Bridport requires a 500-kW/1,110-kWh battery.

Project:

Hazelmead Community Energy, who are installing a solar-powered microgrid in a new development in Bridport, would like to invite tenders to deliver a 500-kW/1,110-kWh battery.

Tender Timelines:
The tender timelines are set to ensure Hazelmead Community Energy can submit a revised grant application in early July.

  • 17th June 2020 Tender Out
  • 2nd July 2020  Tenders back

Installation Timeline:
Main Contractor decision / funding early July 2020

Installation:   4th Quarter 2020/1st Quarter 2021

Selection:
The selection of the successful contractor will be based on an objective assessment of the received quotes with 40% weight given to price, 20% to quality and experience and 40% to confidence/delivery.

A grant from Low Carbon Dorset for solar panels has helped the community get even closer to their net zero goals.
